Topic: How can facilitators optimize support for coaching?
Based on the feedback we received from peer educators, it is obvious that the two main items that should be considered when Facilitators seek to optimize their support to Coaching Programs are: 1. Understanding the problems and/or opportunities peer coaching can address at the schools, and
2. Using effective language and questioning skills to support the coaches.

The popularity of the Understanding problem/opportunities that peer coaching can address at the school shows how crucial relationship is to the peer coaching process. A key example of this critical process was demonstrated in the Building Blocks of Trust image as shared in Session 6.
Using effective language and questioning skills to support the coaches was detailed for us in Session two with the Coaching Skills Cue Card.
Team 5 recommends these ideas for application in schools: 1.Prepare an inventory of problems, opportunities and resources by school to allow the Facilitator to follow up on their specific needs. You should never use a “generic” implementation plan for all schools. 2.Provide follow-up support online to ensure that Coaches are using the necessary communications tools and strategies, including: active listening, paraphrasing and the use of clarifying/probing questions; on a consistent basis.
