collaboration.jpgPeer Coaching Develops a Culture of Professionalism

Peer Coaching helps schools develop a culture of professionalism by encouraging collegial collaboration and building relationships. For too long, teachers have practiced in an isolated, unsupportive environment that privatized practice and left teachers frustrated.

Peer coaching provides support that encourages teachers to take risks, deprivatize their practice, adjust to students' needs, and participate in their school's learning conversation.

"Culture" is whatever brings us together as a group. Peer coaches can help teachers connect and share good ideas, model new practices for those who need support, and promote teacher leadership.

There are many Peer Coaching resources that will support the development of a culture of professionalism.
